how to choose a good air-cond?

wanna buy a unit of air-cond for my mum,
but dunno how to choose an air-cond suitable for her,
any idea?

how old is ur mum? maybe you can try to look for those with ion healthier purifier air-cond,
because this kind of air-cond can help in air-purifier for fresh air in your mum's house.

i think buy air-cond with energy saving function is more important,
last time my dad also dun wan use air-cond because worry of increase of electricity usage,
at last i get to know if we use those with 5 star energy saving label air-cond,
the electricity bill will only increase a bit compare to use fan.

If your mum is old, better don't buy an aircon for her la....
always live under cold air not good to health also,
and old ppl body might be weaker

If aim to purify air then using a air purifier is better...
It can block more fine dust, pollen, smoke, virus, etc.
It can does better in matter of purify air, which aircon only can
block coarse dust...
Though, air purifier cannot cool air.

since your mum is an elderly , i think an air-cond with air purifier function is more suitable for her , it helps better in breathing system. you might try York air-cond because my dad also using this one and his feedback towards this air-cond is not bad

Yes i agree, saving energy is an important function too when we are looking for air-cond. I am using York AC and it also have this function , so far so good

Air purifier function also good for children too, my York AC also have this function, it good for my family when they breath in air-cond room

my mum is around 56 yrs old and healthy,
so i think shouldn't be any problem if she use air-cond,
btw i think i would buy the York one with air-purifier function and energy saving function,
because she also worry abt the increase of electric bill.
